Words of Encouragement (W.O.E.)
FaithScripture teaches that Faith is the substance of this hoped for and the evidence of things not seen.
As we journey through the Scriptures in this series, remember that God desires us to be believers who have faith in Him. Faith, from the Greek word pistis, means to be persuaded or come to trust). Faith is always a gift from God. It can never be produced by people. It is being divinely persuaded. Scripture goes further to inform us that without faith, it is impossible to please God. He that come to God must FIRST believe that he is GOD. Your faith is very important as a believer.
Belief alone is not enough, but you must have some corresponding action with your faith. Faith without works is dead by itself. Don't just simply believe God, but you must also act on what he's persuading you to do. James 2:18 (AMP) would say: But someone may say, “You [claim to] have faith and I have [good] works; show me your [alleged] faith without the works [if you can], and I will show you my faith by my works [that is, by what I do].”
What actions are you taking? As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead being alone.
Get active. God is a rewarder of those that have faith and diligently seek Him.
Believe. Act on your faith. Watch God help you bring it to pass!
God bless,
Pastor
